Dominique and Andrew are two of our most competitive campers in the Single-A Division.  Dominique is the only girl at camp this week but that doesn’t stop her!

Dominique, 7, is dominating her second year at Phillies Baseball Academy.  She’s one of the top hitters on her team and she admits that sometimes she likes being the only girl!  On the field, she proves herself every day by making the difficult plays look easy.  She says that second base is her favorite position to play because it gets all the action.

Andrew plays alongside Dominique at first base – the two are teammates on the Hammerheads, which is led by Coach Paul!  Andrew, 9, is back at camp for his third year of Phillies Baseball Academy fun.  He really enjoys pitching and he perfected his wind up and delivery with Coach Paul today.  Both Dominique and Andrews’ favorite Phillies player is Odubel Herrera.

As seen in the pictures above, Andrew and Dominique also got their work in both behind the plate and on the mound today with Coach John. They are both working very hard in order to get ready for Friday morning’s competitions.

Tomorrow is the big day for Phillies Baseball Academy!  We will be traveling to Citizen’s Bank Park where campers will get the chance to go on a behind-the-scenes tour, meet a current Phillies coach and a current Phillies player. Check back in tomorrow for pictures!
