Campers Meet With New Phillies Interim Manager, Pete Mackanin
Phillies Baseball Academy had the opportunity to meet Pete Mackanin during their trip to Citizens Bank Park today. By the time they arrived home from the park, the Phillies had announced that Mackanin had been promoted from third base coach to interim manager! Who would have thought our campers would see history in the making today?
During the Q&A portion of our tour today, Mackanin gave our campers advice on the five main qualities scouts look for in young baseball players. He also shared with them arm strengthening and hitting advice to help them to progress to the next level. Thanks for your time today Coach Mackanin and congratulations on the new position!
