Phillies Baseball Academy campers from Cardinal O’Hara High School showed up to Citizens Bank Park with an “I’m ready to play” attitude today! They threw like pros on the field, and were very enthusiastic for the chance to meet Phillies’ outfielder, Ben Revere.

Revere is known for his incredible leaping and diving catches, which he demonstrated for our campers! He showed them which part of the bag they are supposed to hit when running the bases and also explained the correct way to grip a bat in order to gain maximum power. Revere was a perfect role model to our campers, and taught them that it does not matter how tall or small you are in baseball. He explained that it is what you do with your skills and techniques that will help you thrive in baseball. Revere’s determination inspired Phillies Baseball Academy campers today, and gave them life-lasting advice for each of their baseball careers.
